What are the correct printer settings on a Canon i9900 for printing a photograph on Kirkland Photo Paper with G&G Ink?

These are my current settings printing directly out of Adobe Photoshop CS2...

North American Prepress 2 (Adobe RGB 1998)
*Changed Media Type to "Photo Paper Plus Glossy" in Print dialogue

Needless to say, my photos are coming out very bright and unsaturated. Thanks for your help.

You should make a personalised profile which will match the G&G ink cartridges you are using with the paper you are using. I doubt there is a dedicated profile for your Kirkland paper for G&G ink. Maybe you should consider buying a Colormunki or Spyder 3 set to calibrate your screen and printer.

A proflie would probably help quite a bit, but the Spyder3StudioSR that includes the capability of monitor and printer calibration is about $450. Ouch.

A less expensive alternative might be using a profile service for the main combination of paper and ink that you use. My impression is that there is a definite learning curve to making your own profiles.

I would actually start first with ditching the G&G ink.
