I can scan and copy, set to black and white. When printing emails, the setting for color prints works. I get blank pages when set on black and white. How can I fix this first?

Windows 7
Hp 4650

The printer is a two cartridge printer. Maybe it in some settings mixes grey and black from the tri-colour cartridge and In other cases uses the black cartridge, which may not work.

So could you please upload a scan or photo of a nozzle check? I think it is called "Print Quality Report" by HP

Thanks, I did a Print Quality Report under settings , tools. The Black test (blocks) are missing from the test. I cleaned the printer heads, then did the second level cleaning. Still the black test blocks are missing. My printer ink levels are at half. Have no problem coping with black.

at the end of the video it shows where I should have a black block.

The Print Quality Report clearly shows that no black ink is put on paper, meaning the black cartridge doesn't work. It might be empty even if the printer reports it still contains ink. It might also be clogged or defective. Hopefully the problem is not caused by an electronic defect in the printer. A new black cartridge might be needed to get the printer working again.

Are your cartridges new OEM, refilled or remanufactured/aftermarket?

See this and this post for some tests of your cartridges.
