these are the pre quality downgrade canon models that use the larger PGI5 and CLI8 ink cartridges

Hate to see this happen, but Canon has created the situation with chipped carts and more cheaply built consumer grade units. I have an unused, sealed in the factory box, ip5000 that I bought as a spare for when my i960 crashes. Paid $100 on closeout for it. I should have bought the store out, Beats the stock market by a long shot!!!!

That's ridiculous. Last year I bought5 a MX700 for my son for less than $75.

back in jan i picked up two refurb'd MX700's for $59 + $15 shipping a piece, incl four new ink carts

so after backing out the new ink carts, got the printers for like $20 each
