Update:

Overtime pay has been coming in, so I decided to chance it on a new printhead.
At US $86, it was nearly $200 less than a current, equivalent replacement printer to use
the same cartridges, and around $25 less than other sources picturing their printheads
with the right Canon insignia on both box and wrapper. Canon Parts had none of the
QY6-0080 printheads when I called them about it.

Powered on, carts then used printhead lifted out, new printhead then carts placed in,
head clean cycle after closing, then to a normal ready state.
Go to the Menu-> Maintenance-> Nozzle Check-> OK

Result?
Perfect! :weee

I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I remembered seeing mention in another thread here about turning ON the
'Quiet Print' mode to lessen printhead heat, so that's been done a while back
for this MG5320 and my new PRO-100. With any luck, this will avoid another
premature printhead failure in the 5320.

Oh, and total pages? Less than 300 on the 5320. "251-300" according to nozzle check.
That's why I hated to junk this one; it simply hadn't been used enough to have
it all used up. Plus, my investment in the PC fill kit...
I'm a happy camper now. :)

For anyone interested, the eBay seller's name is inkjetprinthead.
Great feedback, longstanding seller.
Printheads and other parts for different makes of printers.

Great! Always happy to hear success stories like yours. :thumbsup

Don't forget to do a Print Head Alignment. Chose Automatic to begin and only do a Manual if the automatic one is not good. Follow all paper handling instructions.

I'll check it out, but it may be unnecessary.
Nozzle check appears flawless.

I'll see what actual print output looks like, then proceed accordingly.

I haven't yet sent print from my computers; they don't reside in the same room.
