I can purchase a new ip4200 for a good price but realize it has been replaced with the higher nozzle and faster ip4300. I have the option of waiting until a decent sale and getting it instead.

However, I don't know if the 4300 is really any different in output quality than the 4200 for photo printing. Can anyone here shed some light on this one?

Thanks.

Ip4300 is better and faster than ip4200. I have an ip4300 and used an ip4200 before. Why buy ip4200 when ip4300 is available?

Why - probably $40-50 dollars difference and I try not to spend more unless there is value in doing so.

Ip4300 can be had for around $60. I had mine at $50 after rebate. Ip4200 is discontinued. It's harder to get and I am not sure you can get it cheaper than ip4300. I have used both. Ip4200 is no match to the performance of ip4300. Unless the price difference is so great as you said ip4300 is a better one to get.

I've been watching for rebates/sales/etc. on the 4300 and have seen nothing under $80; I would love to know where a $60 (including shipping) printer can be had.

Thanks.

San Jose is a long way from Houston. Guess I will have to have some friends keep an eye out on Fry's ads here since I don't subscribe to the local rag. Thanks.

Think ip4300 is better, but can't find it under $100.
