Hi again,
I'm helping a friend who is considering a cheap AIO printer, either:
- MP-237 which uses PG-810 & CL811 (I think in US it's PG-210 & CL211)
- MG-2270 which uses PG-740, CL-741 (I think in US it's PG-240 & CL-241)
(I'm in Asia btw)

Both are the same price. The printer would likely be refilled (if possible).
I try to search info on the ink capacity of each cartridge, but I couldn't find it.
Does anyone know how much ink is actually in those cartridges ?

Some remanufactured CL-741 cartridge claim to have 8 ml/color, while I've seen some refill instruction say 3 ml, 5 ml.
Same like CL-811, some say refill upto 5 ml, while other say 2-3 ml.
I'm confused as how much is the real ink capacity in those cartridges.
Any help please ?

Hi Serville,

both PG-210 and CL-211 (regular capacity) contain 9 ml of ink when sold as compatible, so I guess that's their capacity. Not sure about the PG-240 / CL-241

If you are considering an AIO Canon printer then get one with separate individual ink cartridges.

The cheap ones with the tri cartridges are what they say there are cheap
and end up costing much more to run and maintain than the cost of the original printer.

Seek out a printer which uses the CLI-825s and steer clear of the newer CLI-851 cartridges
then refilling will not be a huge problem for you..:)

I've suggested AIO with individual cartridge, but the cheapest MG-5370 is around $220, while MG-237 or MG-2270 cost only $70.
I think she finds it too expensive since she's just a working single mother. Her husband left her 6 months ago.
My poor friend. If only she just needs a printer, I still have a new unboxed IP-2770 from a gift that she can have. :(
