I've thought about doing direct-drive on my CR-10, but the problems I'd be trying to solve aren't to the point that they overcome the work to change from bowden. LOL!

I’ve taught about that method too, and liked the idea of having them both together, but if I made it in PLA it would melt, so my other alternative is to use a light metal frame around the hot end.. An idea in progress..
