At the present I only use refilled OEM cartridges. I refill Canon BCI-3e/6, PGI-5/CLI-8 and PGI-520/CLI-521 and HP-364 which are similar to Canon cartridges. I also occasionally refill Canon and HP combined print head/sponge cartridges.

Before I started refilling Canon cartridges I bought compatible cartridges.

I have also refilled HP78 and HP45 cartridges, but I was often unsuccessful and bought commercially remanufactured cartridges.

I have only checked refilled OEM as this is what I use at present. Should I also check "Commercially remanufactured cartridges" and "New compatible for single use only" ?

Refilled OEM CLI8 and PGI5 the reason they just work and last ages. Even if they become a complete glob of dried ink mess they can be easily flushed and again used to refill. The quality is miles ahead of other cheap non OEM brands, particularly the foam/sponge inside them.

I noticed 9 votes, but as multiple votes are allowed and the percentages total 112.5% or 9/8, I think that 8 persons voted. Then 6 are only refilling OEM, one is only using refillable compatible cartridges and one is using both refilled OEM and refillable cartridges.

It looks to me like only Canon owners voted, I think most use the older models for which resetters are available and a few are forced to use refillable cartridges as no resetters are available for the newest Canon cartridges.

This is only guessing and very uncertain, so please more votes and more posts with comments/info.

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
For "other" put me down for OEM converted cartridges that have transmogrified into a CIS hybrid (re: illegitimate child of cartridges) or any number of other DIY (Destroy It Yourself) projects :)

I admit having refilled compatible cartridges, but since I have enough empty OEM's it doesn't make sense anymore (I fill the compatibles with pharmacist solution and use them as cleaning cartridges).

How about OEM cartridges (good sponge) with compatible chips ? :)

I have 3 MFC-465 CN type printers with the extended transparent Chinese LC-51 cartridges.

They hold a bunch of ink and after clipping #5 lead, no ink low messages.

They have worked for at least 5 years without a hitch,

'BUT!!!$#%^&& my 3 brother printers all clogged within a week.

What is the magic laxative for my constipated printers?

I use refillable compatible cartridges with autoreset chip, and i'm pretty pleased with them.
