New Color Profile Doesn't Show Up In Printer Menu (macintosh)

Using Macintosh I've just installed two new color profiles made by a generous friend in this forum.
Both installed in Library/colorsync/profiles
One (for matte paper) works perfectly but the other (for glossy paper) doesn't show up the printer menu.
Placed on the desktop i've clicked both. The "matte profile" comes up with a data window. The "glossy profile" can't open on the computer.

What can be wrong?
PS. I've tried to attach the two files but a message comes up that the files don't have an allowed extension (.icm)

Since I wrote the message I got a new file from my friend. It now opens on the desktop but still it won't mount and show up in the printer menu

Most likely your profile does not work because it's v4 instead of older v2.
You must ask your friend to make v2 profile instead.

Also note your profile has a bit high chroma, I mean grayscale is not very grayscale . Either your printer is not optimized for your inks and paper, or there is a problem with how the profile is created or problem in your workflow. I judge this from the profile itself, to confirm this a proper printer certification is required. If interested drop me PM.

Also profilename and internal names are different, bad practice if you ask me.
