Needed: Empty Japanese Canon BCI-9 Black Cartridge

I just inherited a printer from a friend that he brought over from Japan.
Everything looks ok but was missing the BCI-9 black cartridge.
When I used a black PGI-5 cartridge it didn't work.

Does anyone have an extra OEM Canon BCI-9 cartridge either full or empty that they can send me at my cost?
I would be more than happy to do something in return. I have alot of US canon cartridges I could swap.

Unfortunately not. BCI-9 is a Japan only cartridge apparently. Looks 100% the same except for the label and the chip is somehow speaking to the printer in Japanese so a PGI-5 doesn't work.

Even just the chip would be ok since I could swap it onto a PGI-5.
