Need help and advice canon mp620

I just purchased an mp620 that takes the cli221 cartriges. I have done alot of research... and the best I could find would be this... Refillable Cartridges for Canon Pixma MP620 PGI 220BK CLI 221 BK C M Y with Auto Reset ARC chips

also I have a supply of canon inks designed for cli-8 profile. Can I use this ink for my cli-221 cartridges ?

yes you can use the CLI-8 ink into your Canon CLI-221 cartridges, maybe the colours can be a bit off, but this can be compensated with a printer profile.

If I remember correctly, someone said the CLI-221 is shorter than the CLI-8. If it is shorter, the CLI-8 is too tall to clear the MP620 ceiling. Please check the height before your printer trying to move it to the parking position.

the question of th TS is whether or not you can use CLI-8 compatible ink to refill the CLI-221 cartridges, which is actually possible. Not if you can CLI-8 cartridges in CLI-221 based printers, which is impossible.

should I get them ? or just refill the original cart. that came with printer

buying the original ones is much better (patentend double density sponge, better built: look at my German durchstich refill method for the PGI-520/CLI-521 cartridges). If you want you may buy auto resettable chips and put them on the original cartridges to maintain ink level. I would not trust these refillable cartridges: they often get starved of ink after a while and print quality will suffer from this.
