Hi Folks

In mid print whilst working fine, printing black text, the print turned to intense black horizontal lines.
Did a nozzle check - see attached - same sort of thing really bad.
Did a nozzle clean - then printed a head alignment value, the printer then dumped a ton of black ink on the page mostly in 4 bands across the page so it was 4 puddles that ran across the page!

Please help I have a quote to print today.

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard and welcome, I would have said your problem sounds like dirt on the carriage timing wheel at the side of your printer.

But if its pouring ink out on the pages then that would suggest it’s a complete electrical failure in the print head, but it gets worse, it may have also done the same to your logic board, I have never seen a nozzle check that bad before.

I do hope I’m wrong for your sake.. :(

Hi Hat, Clang Whoops!

Thanks for your reply. I have been reading and cleaning and changing cartridges.
Was just about to write it off when I decided to clean/mop up around the ports/holes where the
ink enters the printer from the cartridge. Did this then an auto head alignment.
Then it prints a perfect test sheet - happy days!:weee
