Long Delay Until Printer Starts Printing

Recently I have noticed my Epson WF 4820 takes a much longer time to start printing a document than it use to. Any ideas on what I can check that may be causing this problem?

Mac or Windows?
From what application are you printing?

There was a recent thread about printing PDF documents that had a delay and the solution. Not sure that is your type of document yet here is the link to that thread:
