Mixing coloured pigment inks together is not recommend either, without first testing it in a cartridge before use, because not all pigment inks are chemically the same, but most dye inks are. (O’ that Yello Gello)

...

I experimented by refilling the MBK cart of my PRO9500 with the waste ink from my MX7600 (same PGI-9 ink), since a PRO9500 never cloggs.
It does .

i went to the local ink store today and told them the model number of my cartridge (which is pg545) and they said "all the canon inks are same you dont need that model number" and gave me some ink. i didnt inject that ink in cartridge yet. is it true or not?

Interesting question! Is CromaLife and CromaLife+ (plus) the same ink? Or is it the the difference technology how to print?

I used clc500b ink on my canon MX850 printer Which actually uses PGI-5bk. Both cartridges are same in look but ink codes are different. İt made no difference in print quality.
