i can't really confirm it yet. as i have not personally got the software to reset an ip4600(or in my case ip4680)lin said:The newer models like IP4600 if you need to reset the waste ink full, or print out any EEPROMS info, or extended/details nozzles checks print, in some region, you may be fortunate enough to go Canon and register for the service tool utility program. Some region you may have to bring the printer back to the service center where they will perform the reset for you.

Ah, thanks Lin, I'd forgotten I'd read that.lin said:See my reply at post #7 http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4161&p=1websnail said:Can you provide a confirmation/source where you got that information?
The earlier Canon printers required that you remove the print head before they accepted a reset command. According to lin's information, the reset procedure has apparently been modified, however.narmenia said:what would that do?Grandad35 said:Did you remove the print head before resetting?

This is not a resetter. This is the Canon service utility tool. You have to go to your own Canon Support to enquire for more detail.
