Hey guys, need some help.
So I recently bought the mp530 on your recommendation and got the appropriate needle/syringes. Now it's already running low on the pigment black ink, so I need to order the actual ink..

From what I read it seems that Hobbicolors is a good option?
Problem is I remember reading that one of their "ink sets" for the CLI-8, has true pigment black, and the other set is a mixed pigment black or something.

Can someone help me out with which one to get that is a TRUE pigment black?
Or should I just go with inktek? Any suggested places to get the ink in the U.S.?

Thanks again to everyone for their time.

Hobbicolors PMT-3eBK ink is a true pigmented ink.
I use it and I know it is waterproof.

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
Hobbicolours are one... MIS Associates are another... OCP are more european but definitely good quality.

Just make sure you stick to one brand once you start to avoid unnecessary clogging or incompatibilities.

I've had really good results with True Color inks from www.alotofthings.com . Prices were reasonable and service has been excellent. The colors seem to match the Canon ink quite closely.

I have excellent results with KMP pure pigment ink, which is even more markerproof than the original BCI-3eBk and PGI-5Bk and really deep black and gives razorsharp text prints.
