HP LaserJet 5L Prints Uneven Darkness

I believe toner dust dust is actually very bad for your lungs. It is so fine that normalvacuum bags will not trap it properly. So be careful, especially if there is anyone in the household with respiratory problems. Furthermore, the gases emitted by laser printers during printing is supposed to be also bad for your health or so I heard. Lasers are also very energy inefficient thus adding to a larger carbon footprint.

Despite that I still use a laser printer for specific purposes otherwise I just stick with my inkjets. It certainly is not my main printer.

Laser printer is use heater (fuser unit) to bond toner to paper. It uses over 100W of power during printing. It is not energy friendly product.

You're right! but if we had a black print job running into a couple of thousand pgs, we needed to print and print fast. I guess only a laser would do the job efficiently,quietly and without too much fuss.
