Hello everyone,

a friend of mine recently got a HP D2560 printer.
It uses HP 60 and 60XL cartridges.

He knows I refill my printer carts, so he asked me how it could be done
with his printer. Easy enough, rip the stickers on top of the cart, the refill
holes are there.. so far so good. (the printer is new, haven't refilled it yet)

Now here are a few questions.

1. Does the HP 60 use pigment or dye black? I believe it's pigment black, but
i'm not sure.. I wouldn't want to ruin the cart by using dye ink (I suggested
running a page under water after an hour or so of drying to see what happens).
I'm also 99% sure the HP 60 color cart is DYE.

2. Second question, and maybe more important. I have no experience with HPs.
I hear these printers are chipped to? Would anyone of you know if the ink level
indicator is disabled when refilled (like a Canon), or will the printer simply refuse
to print? I've seen workarounds like swaping carts in sets of threes, removing batteries
off the logic board, etc but these seem to apply to old models..

Thanks for your help.
