Hello everyone, I purchased a CIS kit recently but i'm not quite ready to install it (my carts won't be empty before a week or two).
It's a pre-filled kit... how long can I wait to install it? If I wait that long, will it clog or anything?

Another queston, the kit simply states to install it and run the cleaning procedure a few times..
instructions for other kits suggest priming the carts first.

Is priming suggested for any kit?

Sorry if these questions have been answered before, I did some research, but there a lot of conflicting opinions out there
Thanks for your help

Hm... good question. The CIS itself shouldn't clog as the heads would, although an occasional issue with CIS's seems to be algae formation. Storing it in the dark (ie, in the box) should help. It being sealed, algae or bacterial growth may not be a problem at least for the short term.

I'd prime, myself. The cleaning is likely intended to prime, but wastes a lot of ink.

Thanks.. So I guess it's going to stay in the box for a couple of weeks,
and primed before installing.
