Hello PrinterKnowledge friends. How do you get out of this two light blinking and number 1 on the display mode on the Canon MP287? I've been trying to figure out how to get it out of this mode if it's a mode for weeks to months now (now I have to ask for help and take a video of what's it showing). Everything is genuine (genuine cartridges, etc.):

Thank you in advance. God bless and have a very Merry Christmas and a Very Joyful New Year.

If the printer is able to accept print jobs and print then it could be that someone had disabled ink monitoring for both cartridges (atleast that is the behavior for the MG2500 that also has ink status lights)

If your printer is not accepting print jobs then it could be either the cartridges are deemed empty and needs to have to disable ink monitoring or there is an error in detecting your cartridges (poor contact, invalid placement/region, defective carts etc).

you can disable ink monioring by holding the stop button for atleast 5 seconds as shown here:

You can try reseating the cartridges if its the latter and/or cleaning the contacts otherwise you'll need to find either another printer or set of cartridges to test whether the printer carriage or the cartridge itself is faulty. As stated in your other thread incorrect cartridge regions may also cause the printer to reject a functional catridge.
