Thermal glue is a plastic glue that becomes solid at room temperature, but melts as heat is applied to it. Thermal glue sticks are commonly used for craft and upholstery projects, though the glue can be used for a number of other purposes as well.

Where is this thread heading?

For the expense of glue-gun (cheap) and a temp controlled soldering iron (NOT cheap), you can BUY pre-built CIS systems, just check eBay for thousands of listings!

I hope he will show us how he built the home made ciss. It's like watching a TV series: you watch an episode, something interesting is about to happen and... the episode ends and you have to wait another week to see the interesting bit. I find this frustrating...

Regarding the utensils cost: some of us already own them so it's not a real added cost to building your diy ciss. ;)

It's a REAL cost if it doesn't work! Cis's depend upon having leak-tight connections throughout, so sizing of all the bits and pieces, as well a flexibility of moving parts, it just as critical as what type of magic bottle is used to supply the ink. Not that it's difficult to DIY, it's just a lot of effort that someone else probably has already done.

A well-designed, purchased CIS has a lot of advantages over trying to design and build your own.

Do you think that you (I) can not do better CISS than the CISS "Made in China"? :caf

If the "Made in China" system works, then yes, I (or you) CANNOT do "better"....

But, feel free to continue your posts, many are awaiting your continuing story.

I never considered a $30 US expenditure a major purchase, but a temp controlled soldering iron is.

Please continue. If you speed up your descriptions, that would really help...

turbguy, I have to work 8 hours to get $ 30. I have two higher education diplomas. One liter of gasoline costs 1.7 dollars. This is a miracle? No, this is a reality.
