3D Printer Fumes: How bad for you are they?
This study also suggests that PLA is a safe material when it comes to 3D printing and fumes. PLA printing gives out a substance known as lactide, which is not toxic in nature.

This is from 3dinsider.com.. And I’m sticking with this information as been accrete and am not worried one little bit about fumes from PLA, next thing someone will be saying whisky is harmful,....

If nothing else kills you, old age will. Remember the three score and ten estimate.
but so is old age, now that’s to be avoided for as long as possible.....:old…Just stop counting...:)

Speaking of Health issues, with most sports now gone, the only thing left safe to do I reckon is 3D printing, it may not be a virus but it certainly can be deliciously contagious...:love

Stay safe out there guys….:hugs

Current wisdom, as of this minute in the USA, is that the Covid-19 coronavirus can live up to 3 days on surfaces, depending on the surface material - see Results starting on page 6 here. (other coronaviruses can live up to 9 days) So, the safest thing to do is to store the package in an area out of the way of people and pets and wait four days to open. Use recommended hygiene after handling the package.

Remember that Wuhan Flu doesn't mean only those packages from China may be contaminated. Your postal or delivery person may have it without knowing and just contaminated your mail. Thank you.

Cleaning products the US EPA states are effective against Covid-19 (as of today):

This is the current wisdom on the novel coronavirus as of this posting. By today's end there may be different concepts, findings and recommendations. Yes, knowledge is still changing that fast. Because it's new.

Have a great weekend everybody!

PS My local supermarket was out of, or nearly out of, toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizers, liquid soaps, potatoes, bananas, beef, pasta, bottled water. A woman was overheard saying that since ALL the schools have closed (in Ohio), she needs to feed her 4 teenage sons who are home all day for who knows how long. There is no shortage of these items except caused by fear and hoarding.

PPS @The Hat - curiously, plenty of corned beef in the supermarket. No St. Paddy's Day parade this year but you can still have a nice corned beef and cabbage dinner and listen to Toora-Loora-Looral. :)

One thing to avoid is signing those electronic screens that the couriers use. Can you imagine how mnay paws have been on that in the course of a day :he

The lunatics in this country (UK) sorry "experts" advised that masks don't really help. Well that is plain stupid, because masks may not be great at preventing airborne droplets but they stop the wearer from touching their mouth or nose subconsciously, something we do dozens of times a day without even noticing it.

Same in the US.

Interestingly, masks are required if you enter the room of a known or suspected COVID-19 patient in the hospital.

Typical face masks afford a small amount of protection to the wearer against airborne viruses, as they are not designed for filtering out virii, and, contaminated air can enter wherever the mask does not fit securely on the face. The greater protection for the healthy wearer is the mask makes it more difficult to touch your mouth and nose.

There is more to the pro's and con's of simple face mask use, beyond the panic-inducing Media, and physicians on the TV, make of it all. If people panic and hoard the face masks then those who will benefit much more - those working with people suspected or known to be infected may not be able to get masks.

Bottom line, typical face masks (not the N95 face masks) offer minimal protection, but a great sense of false security, against airborne virii.
