I posted a question here a couple of days ago but it seems to have disappeared, so I am reformulating it:
Has anyone used a (calibrated) flatbed scanner with Vuescan to profile a printer? This has been mentioned in the forum as a possibility but I haven't found any post that confirms anyone actually trying it.
I am aware that this method has obvious limitations – the flatbed scanner is likely to have a narrow density range so may not be able to capture the full gamut of the printed target. I am just considering it as a first step before shelling out for a second-hand ColorMunki.
