Okay, I have gotten the feeling that these 3 companies are the most preffered suppliers of third party ink for refills on the board. I read in one post where a user was using Red River Paper with Weink (which I believe is probably a image specialist ink), and getting good results with little fading.

I was wondering if any had opininions on a preferred photo paper with one of the above inks. If so let us know why. Print quality? Resistance to fading? Price?

Thanks.

I have had great images and good archivability with Image Specialist Epson pigmented inks for the C86 and 9700, combined with Sihl heavyweight matte photo paper.

The color match is within 1 deltaE. I have not finished the accelerated archivability test yet, but looks similiar to Epsons.

I have conducted fading tests with Hobbicolors Inks against 10 different papers. You can view the results at http://www.pbase.com/correzpond/paper_tests. My experience is that you can't go past the Ilford swellable papers 'Classic Pearl' and 'Classic Gloss', not just with Hobbicolors inks, but also with Canon OEM and MIS.
