I tried filling my tricolour HP22 cartridge with ink today for the first time. It worked quite well and nothing spilled over so i was quite happy...

Then I followed the guidelines given on the refilpack i used(printFIT for HP... german brand), which basically said to cover two of the contacts with clear tape in a precise order (similar to guidelines i found in the forum here).
However, i read it wrong and taped both of at the same time.
The printer didnt recognize the cartridge
I took one of them off
The printer didnt recognize the cartridge
I took the second one off
The printer recognized it and saw it as new and filled cartridge.
Now i wonder, can you fool any HP cartridge that way (without having to do the accurate tapeing over)? ie taping two random contacts, getting two error messages and then having it reset?
I know there are methods for which ones to tape over etc but they all seem fairly tedious.
Has this happened to anyone else before?

Maybe im just overly happy... :)
