Favorite SoHo laser

I didn't see anything current on this, so I'll ask.
A friend is setting up a home office (tight budget) and needs an AIO type printer. Fax capable is a must, color is not mandatory but would be nice if not too expensive.

In a laser, what are the favorites for effectiveness and economy ?
