hi guys
Sent my printer off to be repaired as it will not turn on at all !!
They have got back to me today saying its the printer head faulty & the logic board !
Is it possible to clean the printer head DIY ?
As i think why they are saying the printer head is faulty or could it be something else
Any ideas ?

There are a lot of electronics on the print head, and it is well known that a bad print head can sometimes blow a good logic board and a bad logic board can sometimes blow a good print head. As a first guess, this may be what happened in your case.

Is the printer under warranty? If not, it will probably cost about as much to fix the printer as to buy a replacement (there are 2 new units listed on E-Bay for about $400).

Yes - it is possible to clean a clogged print head, but it is unlikely that this is your problem. A clog will not prevent the printer from firing up.
