I own a Canon i9900 printer that we use for specs and prototypes.

I have now come to the conclusion that the Photo Magenta, Red, Green and Photo Cyan cartridges that were from INKGRABBER approximately one year ago may be FAULTY! I noticed my prints were not utilizing these particular colors. These particular ink cartridges have been sitting in my print head evaporating!

Therefore I thought that my print head was clogged and so I bought a cleaning kit, which was to no avail. I then purchased an expensive new Canon OEM i9900 print head and still these particular ink cartridges were NOT running through sufficiently. (See this thread http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=31827#p31827)

I then noticed the Photo Magenta, Red, Green and Photo Cyan colors were the only cartridges that were designed differently than their counterpart INKGRABBER CMYK cartridges, which happen to be doing a satisfactory job.

Ive attached a picture illustrating the difference in design between the INKGRABBER CMYK cartridges and the INKGRABBER Photo Magenta, Red, Green and Photo Cyan cartridges.

Hi, I have seen that type of cartridge design before and when I used a similar design to print a large solid area it couldnt deliver enough ink to meet the demand i.e. it ends up dribbling after a while (my experience anyway). My advice is to stick with oem cartridges and refill to your own preferred personal method. ;)
