I purchased this printer about 5 weeks ago. I went through all the ink, then purchased some replacement cartridges that were cheaper than the genuine ones which seem to be $50 or more per set. The quality wasn't good, so after about 5 prints, I switched out with genuine ink cartridges.
I cleaned the heads about 4 or 5 times and the quality finally came back to what it should be. Unfortunately, after doing this, the ink cartridges all show being 90+ percent used! In addition to this, I can no longer print, because the black ink cartridge is no longer recognized. I don't know if it is the cheaper ink, the genuine ink or the printer.
I know it is easy to point the finger at the cheap ink just because it is cheaper, but if anyone can give me any guidance, I would appreciate it.
