Hello! New user here, so pardon if the formatting is not up to standard.

I've been using the Epson XP-15000 for around a year and a half now, and for around half a year I've been having this strange blurring on just one side of the printer. I attached the printed image as well as the image that was sent to the printer.

I've tried multiple nozzle cleanings, vertical and horizontal adjustments, cleaning the timing strip, to no avail. I only noticed the error when I started printing on larger sheets (image below is on 12x12 inch), since the overspray only happens on the right-most area of the printer (left side of the paper). Has anyone else had this happen..? Logically it seems like it might be a printhead alignment issue, but it might also have to do with the platen?

HI @epsonxp15kuser
I don't have or use that Epson printer so what is below are just suggestions from the web yet they make sense as possible problem areas:

When an Epson XP-15000 print bulges or bows outward on one side (like the right edge of the print), it usually points to a paper feed or paper path problem rather than the printhead itself. Here are the most common causes to check:

1. Paper Feed / Skew Issues

Misaligned paper guides: If the right guide in the tray isn’t snug, the sheet can drift and buckle on one side.

Paper not flat: Slight curls, humidity, or thick media (cardstock, photo paper) can cause one edge to rise as it feeds through.

Incorrect tray loading: If the sheet isn’t seated squarely, the printer’s rollers grip unevenly and push out the side.

2. Roller or Path Problems

Dirty or worn feed rollers: Dust, coating, or wear can reduce traction on one side, causing skew or bulging.

Obstruction inside: A small piece of paper, lint, or even ink buildup can block smooth passage on one side.

Roller pressure imbalance: If one side’s rollers press harder, it can bend the sheet during ejection.

3. Media Settings / Type

Wrong media thickness setting: If you’re using thicker photo paper but the printer thinks it’s plain paper, the rollers and platen gap may squeeze too tightly.

Heavy stock from wrong tray: The XP-15000 handles thicker media better from the rear feed slot, not the bottom cassette.

4. Mechanical Alignment

Less common, but a slightly bent output tray or warped internal guide can direct paper unevenly, making the end of the print bow outward on one side.

✅ What to try:

Reload the paper, ensuring the guides are snug against the paper edges.

Use the rear feed slot for thick or photo media.

Clean the paper feed rollers (Epson has a utility in the printer driver or you can wipe with a lint-free cloth dampened with water).

Check inside with a flashlight for scraps, dust, or buildup on the right side path.

Run a plain paper test print — if the bulge still appears, it’s a feed mechanism issue, not media curl.

Not sure any above is your issue yet thought it was worth mentioning
