Hi guys, newbie here! I've had this SP1400 for about 2 yrs without a glitch....until now. For some reason it decided to darken every attempt to print out a photo. If I click on the "fit picture to frame" it will revert to the correct brightness, but only for a split second and then goes back to a much less degree of brightness. I have not touched any of the 'advanced' controls prior to this but have since gone in and raised the level of brightness considerably but with no effect on the final print. This problem seems to have come out of nowhere because nothing was changed that would affect the process. Have any ideas? I appreciate it.
Thanks ;)

It almost sounds like one of the "hidden" settings in the driver was somehow changed. Unless you have made lots of custom settings in the driver, the easiest way to reset everything back to nominal is to uninstall, then reinstall the printer.

I haven't made any changes other than trying to adjust the brightness, after the fact. I'll do the uninstall.
