I received my R3000 today and putting it through the paces I see that the printer automatically changes to MK to print CDs. Thus it purges the PK ink and then prints with MK ink, after a disc prints and you want to print glossy papers again it purges the MK ink and loads PK ink. I watched my PK ink level drop 25% before my eyes! Yes, I understand the needed purges but I thought that it was only to be 3 mL, not 7-8 mL!
Now I print all the time on CDs using PK ink with my R2880, I have no need to use MK ink on CDs and thus the switch.
Does anyone know how to print CD's using Epson's Print CD, and force the printer to use PK ink and not do the MK switch and resulting purges?
