Hello,
I've recently bought an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 and (after initial disappointment - it doesn't print directly on DVDs and I'm probably one of the last 4 people on earth using that feature) it's an amazing printer, but it has one very annoying issue - printhead "clogs" almost daily. When it prints it's absolutely fine, no color bleeding, no ink spills, no blurriness, but as soon as I don't print for 15-20 hours the LC and LM channels start clogging and it usually needs one or two cleaning cycles to bring the head to 100% perfect nozzle test.
I've tried replacing the cartridges, but it didn't fix the issue. If it matters I'm using InkTec pigment ink set with PK.
I've thought about replacing the capping station top part - the one with the rubber on it or maybe even whole capping station since I'll need to replace the ink pad soon, but before I pull the trigger on that I wanted to ask the experts if that even makes sense in this situation
Any input is appreciated.
