Hi guys,
Got a Cityinkexpress CISS system for me Epson PX730WD printer and everything installed and went brilliantly at first
until after only a few prints I got a ''cannot recongnise cartridge error'' on the lcd screen.
This was solved and has been ever since by opening the lid and pressing the button on the chip
BUT why should this be happening after a few prints and the cart shows nearly full.
All the carts are seated correctly and clicked into place plus this then happens for every colour and black over the next few prints
leaving me with around 5-6 have printed photos.
Im getting very p***ed about this now with no help from Cityinkexpress.

As a footnote the CISS on my RX585 worked flawlessly for 3 years.. so im at a loss.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Don't suppose you updated the printer firmware at all have you?

The newest Epson printers have a program included that upgrades their firmware to one that causes all manner of problems with ARCs and compatible cartridge chips.

Does this do automatic updates or do you have to agree to it? How do you disable it?

Nothing as yet... It's unlikely this will be resolved quickly because obviously this is a moving target. My guess is that the chip manufacturers are looking hard at what's going on and trying to decide how to proceed.

OMG what great customer service..

Well done cityinkexpress.
