Update:

So i had another day of printing for a brief period of time again.

So for the last 3 days, the cycle has gone like this:

Print ~10-30 (pretty good looking) prints.
Get progressively increasing banding marks on the prints.
Shut down printer.
Wait 10 hours.
Go to step 1.

It's strange that I get a half hour of solid use in the morning.

And then it bonks out.

Only to return to active duty again (temporarily) the next day...

Artprint1. Try breaking the use down into two segments. So every 10 prints wait 15 minutes and see what happens. You may be experiencing and ink feed issue where the time it is resting allows recovery. This is aside from the recognition issue. If you're using a CISS, then triple check the ink lines and see if there any pinches. You might be experiencing both a chip recognition issue and possibly an install issue as well. This could drive you bonkers.

Hat, there's a bigger story behind that "avatar" after I finish up some loose ends.

All of them! LOL
How about raising the external tanks about 1/2" higher?

I could try it

But whats weird is this worked for several months without a quality issue.

Same CIS tanks
Positioned at the same level
Doing the same number of prints
On the same paper
etc...

The only thing that changed is, I squirted in some new ink into all 6 tanks.

I don't see any bubbles in the line visually. But maybe there are some "micro bubbles" in the line...

Is your CISS the type with the dual chamber? You are supposed to only add ink into the chamber where the air filters are installed. On some designs you will loose your flow if you pull off the rubber plug from the 2nd chamber.

WHOOOOPPPPSSS I meant the chamber now plugged and sealed NOT the chamber open to the air with the air filer. That one must be sealed before the other one is opened for adding ink.

I am getting TOOOOO old!!!!

Well I see you do have a dual chamber one. Something obviously happened during the refill process. What that may have been is another question.

When you refill the ciss the tubes must be blocked (bend and clamp).
Remove the air filter from the first ciss tank, take a syringe and fill it with air, then insert it where the filter was. You can now remove the plug from the main chamber and fill the reservoir ( just 90%, not more). When you are done filling push on the syringe's plunger to get air into the air chamber (stop when you hear/see bubbles). Plug the main chamber, remove the syringe and fit the air filter.
Go to next tank.
After you are done with refilling remove the clamp from the tubes.

This is the correct way to refill your ciss. You should never insert ink into the air chamber (where the air filter is fitted).

About your problem: a bad nozzle check doesn't have to be from air getting into the tubes/printhead. If your printhead leaks (too much ink) you will get missing lines in the nozzle check. Could you post pictures of your setup?

Abosolutely TUDOR. I of course did not work it right. Ink must never be injected into the chamber when the air filters reside.
