Significant reduction in price. Is it worth it?

The forum has often been less than enthusiastic about Spyder calibrators in the past. Maybe this monitor/projector colorimeter calibrator is worth the (sale) price.

Nice review including an "Accuracy" chart at the bottom comparing it to both the i1 Pro 2 spectrophotometer (~$1400) and the i1 Display Pro Plus colorimeter ($299).

Another review that discusses how to overcome issues calibrating a dual monitor set up, including a link to the "hard to find" full user manual needed to do so, at

I have seen disfunctionality of the Spyder Print package but cannot comment on the display calibrators.

MHO : Not worth purchasing at any price any Spyder Datacolor device, be it for monitor or printer.

Samsung used to make some electronic shite. Now Samsung makes some of the best.

Based on reviews I've read over the years, I have not been a Spyder fan either, recommending i1 Display products preferentially. Still, things can change. I was hoping for some specific observations based on the article.

Not saying this particular Spyder product is the cat's meow, but I think we are doing a disservice by dismissing the current model because of past experiences with older models alone.

At 43% less than the i1 Display Pro Plus competitor, maybe the SpyderX Elite was a good buy based on performance and features. However, the sale is over.

Maybe the question should have been whether the discounted SpyderX Elite performance or feature set was better than the similarly priced X-Rite i1 Display Studio ($169).
