I recently purchased a new Canon Pixma MP240 which uses a PG-210 (Black) cart and a PG-211 (color) cart. The printer it replaces was a Canon Pixma MP210 using the CL40 (black) and the CL41 (color) carts. Just before the MP210 crashed I bought a new replacement CL41 color cart for it that was used like for one or two small jobs. I'd hate to have to just toss it and am wondering if it can be used successfully in my new MP240? Thanks for replies.

They look the same but are not compatible.
Should have done your research before buying the new printer.
Canon has gone crazy lately with all the different cartridges out there now.

Instead of throwing it away, advertise it and hopefully give it to someone who can use it up. :)

Perhaps a local store will exchange it for you. Take the CL-41 to the shop where you purchased your new printer. Surely they will give you a refund or exchange.
