I have used a very simple but effective method to dry the sponge. I simply tear a sheet of soft paper tissue into 4 pieces. Use one piece a time. I wrap it up into a small paper ball and use it to plug into the exit hole of the ink cartridge. I fasten it with a rubber band to keep it plugged in there. This makes the water in the sponge to be sucked out by the tissue paper ball. It takes about 10 minutes for the paper tissue ball to become totally wet. Just replace it with another dry tissue paper ball. It will be wet again in less than 10 minutes. Just repeat it 3 or 4 times almost all the moisture in the sponge will be sucked out in 30 minutes. It is not completely dry but dry enough to be refilled.
