After a lot of trouble finaly installed my CIS for canon ix4000
All the led-lights are burning.
But the warning light is also flashing.

The computer say:problem with inktanks: remove cartridges with non-burning lights..
But they are all burning..

What to do ????

Usually removing and putting back the whole system worked for me, but not on Pixma ix4000.

Thanks.
I did that several times.
Problem is when I "remove" the yellow, the computer say:
There is no yellow (but the other colors are no problem)
I put the yellow back and remove the magenta, the computer say: there is no magenta and the other colors are no problem.
When I put back all the cartridges: the computer say: problem with ink etc.
remove cartridges with non-burning lights...
(and ofcourse they are all burning...)

The most likely cause is the fact your CISS cartridges might have a design fault, causing the chips to be above or beneath the optimal contact hight, therefore it can cause malfunction errors.

The CISS-cartridges often have special contacts in which the original chips can be attached to (especially two small plastic pins in which the holes of the chip can be pushed in), but sometimes it is better to cut away those contacts and manually adhere the chips to it at the optimal position. This is to overcome the slight faulty design of the CISS cartridges.

Thanks pharmacist.

But it is strange that the printer/ computer do recognise the right colors exept when I have all cartridges in place....
I thougt that the red light was a sign that the chip was OK....

But I shall give that a try.
In this CISS there are indeed 2 plastic pins where the chips fit on.
( I think you know the system -from Hong Kong ;-))

Been here before with Epsons but never Canons... Usually it indicates, as noted already, that you have one or more duff chips.

Easiest fix would be to source a complete set of empty cartridges for your printer and replace the chips on each cartridge with those on the empties. That way you can start fresh.

As said I have tried and changed ca. 10 chips old en new ones.
All lights are burning.
When I connect 3 cartridges the menu tell me : .one color is missing (and the others are no problem)
When I connect the missing color and disconnect another then te disconnected color is missing. (and the other one is OK)
So ONLY when I connect all 4 there is a "hardwareproblem" ( change non-burning lights etc.)
And all the lights are burning....
My conclusion is: chips are allright. (good placed and working.)
I don't understand why they're not working while connected all 4...........
