Here is the version for X-Rite i1Profiler ChromIQ generated 720-patch target (with ergonomical scanning experience), having the same patch layout as the sets for ChromIQ and i1Profiler (Letter versions) as the previous post.

I don't know if Graeme Gill has an i13 Pro to check what 'might' be happening.
I have no reports or experience of the i1p3 driver having issues, and I have commercial customers using this instrument. I used the i1p3 in making a few profiles for my ET1810 with no issues with the instrument itself.

The main practical issue with any manually operated "swipe" instrument is misreads. Commercial software deals with this by displaying expected/measured values so the user can more easily notice this as they go. This approach is out of scope for a command line toolset.
The best way of dealing with this using the ArgyllCMS tools is to check the self fit error shown at the end of running colprof. If it's unreasonably large, then use profcheck to identify the bad strips. Something like:

profcheck -v2 -s -w PrinterA.ti3 PrinterA.icm | more

and look at the first set of patches with the high delta E values, and see if they are all patches that are in a common strip or set of strips. Examining the resulting 3D visualization file can also give you an idea if it just a few misread patches that are causing the poor patch self consistency. If so, then solution is to re-measure the erroneous patches using the chartread -r option.
