Are there any chips out yet for the Artisan printers that work? I've heard that the one that say they are OK for the Atisan don't work because of something the Artisan checks for on the chip.

In Europe the Artisan series of printers can handle the larger cartridges for the the Epson 1400 printer. Therefore there are alternatives available. But I think Epson did made market differentiation. US models cannot use European cartridges (as far as I know). I think because the legislation imposed by the European Commission forcing printer manufacturers to let their printers be refillable.

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
Unfortunately eBay sellers often tend to claim compatibility and then wait until someone confirms it... I've lost count of the number of people who've been bitten with the R285...

I'd ask Sam at Rihac.com.au if they have compatible chips in yet... I know he was looking at the PX800FW which is the European version but reading the news on his site it seems it's taken a long ruddy time to get the chips right...
