Chip resetter for Canon 220/221 and 520/521 cartridges

I've just started refilling my MP640 and are now looking for a chip resetter. Having looked in threads on this forum it seems that there are various experiences with the chip resetters available out there. I thought I'd ask to see if there is a general consensus as to what resetter is the most reliable and where the best place to get it is?

Here is a Sudhaus resetter for about $40 on EBAY from Germany:

Sooner or later there will be some chinese entrepeneur making a resetter which will combine both BIOS-versions to make a universal resetter for both PGI-520/CLI-521 and PGI-220/CLI-221 cartridges. Because two different resetters for regionalized cartridges is not a good idea.

Thank you. I hadn't realised that the 220/221 and 520/521 needed different resetters. Very useful to know since otherwise I could have ended up buying the wrong one! Like you say:

geezoir: over on this thread there is much discussion of the resetter for 220/221.
The resetter I got works fine (Youtube Showing it in action ) and the thread I link
to above shows there is an additional 15% off through tomorrow putting it in the $20 range. Let us know your experience! -Nick

Living in Europe i need the 520/521 resetter, which i found out from pharmasist's post is different from the 220/221 resetter, unfortunately, since you refer to what seems like an excellent deal to me

Pharmacist did a review of a 520/521 resetter in this thread , and I believe this is a link to what he was reviewing . It is about 15 euros +shipping. -Nick
