My Canon i860 has developed a new quirk. It tells me that it's out of paper when there's paper loaded. If I push it will say paper is jammed. If I push enough the paper will go partially in, back partially out, do that once or twice then start printing. I don't recall it having problems the last time I used it, maybe a month ago. I couldn't find anything in the manual dealing with paper-feeder problems. Can anyone offer help?

There is probably a little lever switch that detects the presence of paper, It could be that due to a paper jam or forien body this switch is prevented from recognising the paper. Have a look at the bottom of the paper tray for bits of paper or any anomaly.

Others may have a better solution
