Response back from my chip manufacturer contacts indicating that PFI-1700 are supported by single use chips but not the 1300 type. I've requested a quote so I'll update once I have a bit more information.

They do have them but the MOQ (minimum order quantity) and our current lack of cashflow liquidity (owing to stock hoarding to cover Covid and Brex*t) means we're not in a position to order the chips in right now. You're looking at minimum of around £150 per set of 12 chips for PFI-1700... I'd hazard a guess of closer to £200+ though.

The word is "Ouch!" :/

Guys plotters anyways are also used for purposes different than just photography, other examples are graphics posters different media and so on, there are companies that laminates them for being used into you know these advertise trucks or outside resturants for menus or there are companies that print on furniture for make pillows or any other genre of stuff.

In those cases who the heck cares about OEM cartridges and the exact perfect gamut of the original ones. Creating colour profiles will be needed but with the amount of money saved on non OEM ones you will not have problems at all investing in that.
