following the clearing of a paper jam, my printer still flashes, comes up with the code 1300 and refuses to print.
Any help welcome

Hi and thanks very much or your suggestion.
This was the first course of action and I had initially tried this.
Unfortunately the orange error light is still on and flashing 3 times, indicating a paper jam.
There is no jam and no paper or foreign body is trapped in the rear tray. When trying to print, I get the 1300 error code. Nothing happens when pressing and holding the resume button. When turning the machine on, it advances a sheet of paper without difficulty, but the error lights still flash.
Bit of a dilemma, eh?
many thanks, Kel

It would be beneficial to post all the things you have tried so far so it doesn't waste anyone's time going over already tried "fixes".

No printer as of now!
According to my experience, paper jam is a common issues in most of the printers. Paper jam occurs due to the wrong size of the paper, so please make sure that you are feeding the right size paper.

Absolutely. Not only the correct size, but also that it's loaded correctly and aligned when placed into the feeder

OK, try this, tear an A4 sheet down the middle and with the printer powered off place the half sheet in the feed tray and using your fingers or any other implement (Screwdriver) raise the front feeder rollers and push the paper into the printer.

You’ll need to push it in to a point where its sitting just at the back of the very small roller that can be seen when your looking at the front part of the printer, next close the cover lids and power on the printer, now wait and see if the printer ejects the paper itself and clears the error message..

This is a trick to fool the printer into detecting the new piece of paper and hopefully making it reset and clear the memory.. If there are no other fragments of paper still left inside..

If the printer doesn’t eject the paper then try a small print job and click print..
Question:- Did you remover the paper jam from the front or the back of the machine, if backwards that’s not good..
P.S. Anything is better than doing nothing..

Hi agin and thanks for your help.
FIXED
I modified your method slightly, inserting an A3 sheet through the front feeder.
power was on and the ink top cover open
Paper slid into the front feeder until it protruded and was visible at the read tray
top cover closed
power off
power on
paper ejected
NO FLASHING ORANGE LIGHT
RESULT...relief

many thanks for your advice
