Canon Pro-100 cabinet removal procedure.

Crikey ! What a great site. Fantastic instructions for disassemble ... Eventually got there.
I am a bit late on here but my pro-10 just got upset and started flashing white/yellow in 10 frequency. Print head defective or ink pad count error ?
In any case the print head carriage hid inside and is completely locked. Cannot move it even with covers off. Restart is completely silent ... No mechanical movement.
Any ideas ?
How can I release the head ? Even then I assume it will get upset again. How do I reset the ink pad counter ... Where can I get that sw ?
Time for the skip and using credit card ? Head quote is 50% of new printer !

Here is a picture of a Pro-100 purge unit with the loose pieces intact. Look in the yellow circle. Keep us updated with your progress.

How did you remove that purge unit? I have some gears that are not engaging the tray and I need to do some further investigation

1. Remove side cover L/R.

2. Remove Front covers L/R.

3. Release 6 tabs, 2 on front, 2 on back, one each side L/R.

4. Remove 6 screws on front rail, and place it on outlet tray.

5. Remove 2 screws form Blade cleaner box.

6. Remove purge Unit power connector from Logic board.

7. Remove 3 screws from Purge Unit and lift free.

Thanks Hat. The print head carriage is keeping me from lifting the rail. Does the carriage remain in place for removal of the rail?

No need to remove the rail, no good will come of it..
