I think both service tools are OK with your printer. I would prefer to use the newest one, the V 5103.

Error 5B00, and possibly also 5B01, 5B10 and 5B11 means that the ink absorbers are full and the printer has been locked. You cannot print, even not from service mode. The only possible operation is to reset the absorber counter. After the absorber counter has been reset the printer is unlocked and you can print again.

Error 002 means that a function not supported by the printer is attempted. A locked printer cannot print the EEPROM info, so that could explain why you get the 002 error.

Here is an older instruction for absorber reset that also applies to your newer printer and service tool.

I had the same issue with TS5050 and error 5100. First I had to clear the error, than I was able to enter service mode. But on a MG5753 it was possible to print the service information, showing ink pads full. Maybe it is different between printers.
I would try to reset the the counter. If there is still a problem you very often get 006 or 009. Than your printer is either not in correct mode or the tool is faulty. That happened to me, so I bought V5204 from eBay which works now.
