Canon Pixma IP4000 error, orange light flashes 7 times

Who can help me to fixed this problem.

The printer works, i've got the EEPROM information print, see 2 below.

Thanks for helping :)

Peke

I printed the ip4000 EEPROM report page using the info at the bottom of this message.
What does the different number mean= It says I've printed PAGE (All=33659) over thirty thousand pages. Can't be true. More likely about 10 000.

Start with the printer OFF

1. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
2. release RESUME (while still holding down the POWER)
3. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
4. The green light will blink and the printer will make some noise. Wait until this is finished, you are now in the printer's diagnostic mode.

To select one of the functions below, use the RESUME button and then press POWER to execute:

# of RESUME Presses - Light Color - Function

0 - green - Power Off
1 - orange - Service Test Print: Extended nozzle check pattern
2 - green - EEPROM information print
3 - orange - EEPROM initialize
4 - green - reset waste ink counter (For the Canon waste tank full error)
There are other options beyond these first 5, but from what I hear they do things that you don't want to mess with.

Lastly press Power.

It is telling you that the printer is not recognizing one of the ink cartridges installed in the printer. Check the printer status on your computer screen. Normally if the printer is showing an ornage LED flashing pattern there is also an error message in the printer's status window. It will tell you which ink cartridge it is not able to recognize. You may need to replace it with a new one.

Peke,
My ip4000 Service Manual states that 7 Orange flashes means that there is no CD or DVD in the CD/DVD tray. That info is in Table 2-1 on page 1-4 of my copy of the manual. I just looked at the manual in the link given you and it is the same.

Hello,

It says d=100.0

I've tried to reset it. And cleaned the sponges and the printer inside properly

I would re-read the diagnostic portion of the Service Manual and notice that the machine has a waste ink counter.
You already know about the page counter. I believe that they could be one in the same.

I would try resetting the counter to the correct value.
Be advised that to reset the waste ink counter without servicing the waste ink pads you risk ink spillage from the base area of the machine. It is not that critical, but it needs mention.

I seem to remember that it is sometimes necessary to remove the print head in order for the reset command to take effect.
