I've had the Canon Pixma MP500 for a few months now and a little while ago it started saying that the magenta "ink tank cannot be recognized." I tried taking it out and putting it back, just turning off the printer then back on, taking out the tank then turning the printer off and on nothing has worked. I don't have any back up tanks on hand. I can't fink a solution to this problem anywhere on the internet, and am waiting to call tech "support" until a last resort.
Can it be fixed with a new tank or do I just have to call the outsourced tech guy in New Dehli?
