canon mp500: cartridge ink low message and bluetooth

hi

has anyone noticed that when you use bluetooth to print, the low ink message does not come on? when printing from a machine connected via usb, or when copying from printer itself, the low ink message comes up. however when i print from another machine via bluetooth the low ink message does not come up.

any particular reason for this?
